SSAA QLD – funding to advance shooting sports
Sporting shooters come from all walks of life and SSAA Queensland is committed to supporting and encouraging those who work, pursue or study in areas that could potentially advance our interests.
Under the banners of the Australian Institute of Legislative Action (AILA) and the Australian Shooters Alliance (ASA), both owned by SSAA Queensland, we have set up a grant for pursuits, studies and research in areas that foster our recreation.
Grants (bursaries) of up to $2000 are now available for endeavours including:
- Biodiversity
- Criminology
- Conservation
- Ecology
- Engineering
- Firearm manufacturing
- Game movements and habits
- Land management
- Media bias

- Sports training
- Various trades (e.g. gun smithing, knifemaking, tools)
- Veterinary science.
