Pro-Tactical has been a trusted name in Australia’s hunting, shooting and outdoor industry for nearly 15 years, supplying premium firearms, accessories and gear through a nationwide dealer network. Built as and remaining as a family-owned business, Pro-Tactical established itself with a reputation for quality, reliability and strong relationships within the hunting and shooting community.
The Change
In August 2025, Pro-Tactical transitioned into Backcountry Outfitters. This is not a closure or replacement of Pro-Tactical, but rather an evolution of the business into a broader brand identity. Pro-Tactical remains a key in-house brand, while Backcountry Outfitters is now the trading name representing the company’s full portfolio of products, partnerships and future growth.
Why the Rebrand

What’s important is nothing has changed for our customers and dealers, same leadership, same team, same commitment to service. Pro-Tactical remains our in-house brand, but Backcountry Outfitters allows us to represent the bigger picture of who we are today.
