Gallery Rifle Queensland State Championships
2019 Gallery Rifle State Championships are being held at SSAA Clermont, April 13 and 14.
Pistol calibre lever-action rifles with an integral tube magazine ONLY; slings are prohibited and there is no minimum permitted trigger weight, but the trigger must be safe in the judgement of the Chief Range Officer.
The Clermont Branch range has restrictions on muzzle velocity and must not exceed 1400 ft/sec and the muzzle energy must not exceed 500 ft. lbs. (for example 240gr projectiles not to exceed 969 fps and 200gr projectiles not exceed 1061 fps)
Two types of sights are permitted:
Iron. Iron sights which may include sights of any colour.
Optical. Optical sights may include telescopic and ‘red dot’ sights but not lasers which project onto the target itself.
Either hand loaded or factory loaded ammunition may be used. All ammunition must have sufficient energy to pass through paper/card targets and their backing boards. Shots which do not pass through such targets will be scored as misses.

The championships will be held over 2 days and consist of 4 events (2 per day) as per nomination form. Extra events, not subject to awards, may be held if time permits.
A State Sub-Committee meeting will be held Saturday 13 April, approx. 1 hour following competition, at the Range. Branch Delegates MUST have written accreditation from their Branch Executive. Observers Welcome.
Range Location: Approximately 10km east of Clermont on the Gregory Highway
Canteen facilities will be open for drinks and snacks each day. Breakfast and Lunch available both days with a roast dinner on Saturday night. Extra cost for meals.
Camping facilities are available at the range – Hot showers and toilets. Alternative accommodation is available at Clermont (10 klm from Range) – Book Early.
