Australian outdoorsman and ethical hunting advocate Rob Baldinger created I Am a Deer Hunter and I am a Duck Hunter after noticing a lack of children’s books reflecting his family’s outdoor lifestyle.

Written in rhyming, bush poetry-style language, the book introduces young readers to hunting, tracking, patience, nature and where food comes from in an accessible, engaging way. Both books offer a perspective on outdoor life that’s rarely represented in mainstream children’s literature.
